In-School and After-School Dance Series

Our In-School and After-School Dance Series aims to develop and foster the inner dancer in every child. The program is over a period of 2-3 months, giving your students the time and attention they need for a proper and rewarding introduction to dance. Choose to focus on learning about one dance style of your choice or introduce your students with a variety of dance styles.

Curriculum:

  • Weekly one-hour workshops typically over a span of 8-12 weeks led by Peridance Contemporary Dance Company Teaching Artists
  • Technique options include Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Ballet, Salsa, Latin, African Dance, Contemporary, Improvisation, and Composition
  • Two curriculum options
    • In-School Dance Series: offered to an entire grade separated by individual classes during in-school hours
    • After-School Dance Series: offered to groups of mixed grades during after-school hours

Program Benefits:

  • Length of entire series is flexible (minimum of 4 weeks)
  • Best suitable for grades K-8
  • Structure of curriculum, days, and times of classes built around the school and teachers' requests
  • Optional (at no additional cost): a final showing at the end of the series demonstrating a culmination of what the students have learned
