Teaching Artists Enrichment Programs

Peridance Contemporary Dance Company's Teaching Artists Enrichment Programs are accessible to all schools in the tri-state area. Led by its high-caliber dancers, the Company exposes K-12 students to different styles of dance through customized curricula, promoting bodily awareness and building self-confidence. Peridance Contemporary Dance Company offers knowledge and expertise through a variety of enrichment programs, which are designed to suit the goals of each school.

  • In-School and After-School Series take place over a span of 2-3 months and are offered for students K-8.
  • A Meet the Artists Performance usually takes place in a school assembly setting, in which our professional dancers perform and conduct a Q&A session.
  • Dance Break is a single workshop that begins with a short demonstration by our dancers and ends with an engaging interactive lesson that focuses on exercising personal creativity.

Our dance company is dedicated to making an impact on students' lives by helping them realize their potential and develop qualities such as leadership, collaboration, and creativity. Students who participated in one of our programs awakened new passions, learned valuable skills, and made individual achievements all through a fun and positive experience.

Our programs are offered to children of any background, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and ability, including those with disabilities. We promote physical activity and interaction through dance and help eliminate barriers and differences amongst children.

"Peridance Contemporary Dance Company brought dance, but so much more to our school assembly... The performances were innovative, beautiful and inspiring... Our students were completely engaged from start to finish, and even had the opportunity to participate as audience members, connecting with both their bodies and with their minds. Thank you, Peridance!"
