We wish to express our gratitude to our Peridance community; thank you for your continued support and generosity as we move through these uncertain times. We look forward to moving with you soon!

Over the past few months, we have worked with our fellow dance studios within Dance Studio Alliance NYC to advocate for our industry while better understanding and seeking clarity and guidance from the city to reopen our studios. Within Peridance, we have further developed our COVID-19 Safety and Reopening plan and have been rigorously preparing for the day we might open our doors to the public once again.

With New York's COVID-19 infection rate on the rise and with the recent closure of public schools, Peridance is being mindful of the health and safety of our community as we plan our next steps forward.

Today, Peridance will begin its soft reopening process. We will bring back our Open Classes slowly over the next couple of months so long as we are permitted to do so barring another city or state lockdown. We will reduce our studio capacity to 20% and all in-studio classes will continue to be offered online as well.

Please click here for our Reopening Plan and here for our daily schedule. We look forward to seeing you soon!

    In-Studio Classes: Important Reminders

      Register in advance:
Students must register for In-Studio class in advance. No walk on registration will be allowed.

      Fill out your health survey:
All registrants are required to fill out a health screening survey per class within an hour prior to arrival at Peridance. Students will not be allowed to enter the building until they have completed a COVID-19 Health Screening Survey. Students will have their temperature taken upon arrival at Peridance Center.

      Wear your mask:
Peridance requires all persons to wear a mask while in the building. Peridance will not accept bandanas, masks with vents, t-shirts or other garments tied around the face, or gaiter neck wraps as appropriate mask coverings, as they are not secure and may fall while dancing.

      Be on time:
Students will be allowed into the building 10 minutes before their scheduled class time. In order to maintain strict protocols under new COVID-19 regulations, Peridance reserves the right to deny entry to any person who arrives late for a class. Any person who does not arrive within the 10 minute window before their scheduled class time will not be allowed to enter Peridance and attend class. Their place will be forfeited in the class and they will not be reimbursed nor given credit for the class.

Peridance will continue classes virtually for the next two weeks. Before we begin our next phase of Reopening, which will bring the Certificate Program, School at Peridance, and Open Program back to the studio, we will remain closed to address a construction issue that came up during our 6 month closure this Spring. We look forward to welcoming our students and faculty back to the center again soon!

    September 4, 2020

We are looking forward to our long anticipated reopening on September 8, 2020! On Tuesday, Peridance will reopen with its full time programs and the International Dance School at Peridance Center. School at Peridance children's classes will begin online on September 10th and will transition to the studio on September 21st.

For the time being, Peridance will delay its scheduled reopening of Open Classes. In order to follow all City and State regulations, we are taking more time to seek clarity from government officials. Peridance has and will take all precautions to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, and staff. Please stay tuned as we update our community over the next few days and weeks regarding the In-Studio Open Class start date. During this interim period, we invite you to continue to dance with us online. Our faculty will teach from our studios, streamed live to your home! We look forward to seeing you in the studio soon!

Peridance is taking a brief Intermission

From Monday, August 31st through Labor Day (Monday, September 7th), Peridance Connect Online Classes and Peridance Center will be closed. We will reopen our doors on Tuesday, September 8th for limited in-studio and online classes.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our community for supporting us over these past six months. We have adapted with the times to a new way of dance education; together as dancers, students, and teachers, we have developed and found new ways to connect and move together online. We look forward to new advancements in our online platform and exciting hybrid classes streaming from our studio to your home.

On Tuesday, September 8th, Peridance will reopen with a blend of In-Person, Hybrid, and Online Classes.

As excited as we are to be together in the studio again, we recognize the potential anxiety that comes along with our reopening. Peridance regards safety first and foremost. Moving forward, you will have the choice of dancing with us in the studio (limited space available) or from the comfort of your own home. Our reopening plan is published online for you to read as you consider how to continue dancing with us (online or in-studio). We look forward to seeing you again on September 8th!
