BLUEPRINT Summer Intensive
A summer intensive featuring
internationally acclaimed faculty artists.
August 5-13, 2023
BLUEPRINT highlights the various artistic perspectives of our faculty and immerses students in an intensive experience of exploration and creativity. Participants will engage in an open space to dialogue and work in a creative process with faculty artists. The program includes intense training with up to 6 hours per day in Ballet, Contemporary, Improvisation, Hip Hop, Body Conditioning, Mind/Body Practice, and Repertoire. Daily seminars and small group discussion will provide each student mentorship, feedback, and open dialogue. This program culminates in a performance at Peridance's KnJ Theater.

BLUEPRINT CHOREOGRAPHER: TSAI HSI HUNGTsai Hsi Hung graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts 2011. In 2009, she traveled to Australia as an exchange student for the Dance at Queensland Technology University Dance Department. She has worked with the Australian Dance Theater, Tasdance, Expressions Dance Company, and Chunky Move Dance Company Dancers.In 2020, Hung received a Choreography Fellowship from the New Jersey Council on the Arts. Shortly after, Hung’s work was selected by the Joffrey Academy of Dance for their Spring 2020 Winning Works performance in Chicago.Hung was invited to Taipei National Dance Theater to perform New work this July 2020. Hung's most recent work will be featured in Ballet X's 2020-2021 season. In 2021, Hung won Western Michigan University’s National Choreography Competition and will premiere a new work in 2022. For Ballet X’s 2022 Season, Hung will create a new work for their dancers through the Ballet X Choreographer Fellowship.Battery DanceCompany of New York will also premiere an original work in the summer of 2022, inspired by the paintings of Hans Hofmann. Hung will be in residence at Kennesaw State University, Georgia, in the summer of 2022 to create new work for the students of their dance department. Hung will premiere a new work in the Spring of 2022 with the Ballet Hispánico Professional Studies dance students. In June of 2018, the MET Dance company performed Hung’s work IO for 12 dancers at the Miller Outdoor Theater in Houston, Texas. In 2019, Hung’s piece DOUBLEND was performed at the NU VU Festival at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, Martha Graham Studio Theater and NYU Skirball Center. Her most recent work, Brushstroke- X2, was performed at the 2020 APAP Peridance Showcase in New York. Hung teaches the open class at the Peridance Center, NYU Tisch Dance, and /MOVE|NYC|. |

BLUEPRINT CHOREOGRAPHER: QUILAN "CUE" ARNOLDQuilan “Cue” Arnold (MFA) is a movement artist based out of Union City, NJ.Quilan currently dances for Camille A. Brown and Dancers (NY), and has been a member of Rennie Harris Puremovement (PA), Netta Yerushalmy Dance Company (NY), and more. Quilan was a New Directions Choreography Lab artist at The Ailey School in 2022. His work, “Searching for a True Move” is featured in All Art’s 2023 documentary, “Alvin Ailey New Directions.” His works-- True Move: Quilan and Club KINGDOM-- were presented at Green Space Theater (NY) and University of Texas- Austin in 2022. Quilan is the CEO of onCUE Chronicles LLC, a kinetic storytelling business advocating for the historically oppressed (www.oncuechronciles.com). He is the founder and host of The Good Foot Podcast, and is the executive director of the Street/Club Dance documentary, Build’N Shop. Quilan also hosts an online Hip-Hop course, Get Groovy.
