Class Description
This class uses the principles of the Humphrey/Limon
technique
to approach the mechanics of contemporary movement.
Working
with fall-recovery, suspension, and succession, the focus of
the
class is on using gravity and opposition to expand the range
of
dynamics. With these skills, we investigate rhythm,
momentum
and movement definition. Using a clear alignment, the goal
of
this class is to create an environment where the dancer finds
a
way to move through space with sense of weight and
freedom.
