AJ has been a swing dancer for more than a decade and has developed a unique style and
energy by incorporating influences from the Lindy Hop scenes in Sacramento, San
Francisco, and Los Angeles. He gained recognition in the dance community in 2016 after
winning competitions with his partner Jennifer and showcasing the talent of the
Sacramento dance scene. AJ has also competed at international events such as Camp
Hollywood and the International Lindy Hop Championships, where he is known for his
energetic dancing and use of aerials. In addition to performing on stage for the debut
run of “SW!NG OUT” and with dance groups such as HellaBlackLindyHop and the Midtown
Stompers, AJ has also had the opportunity to teach Lindy Hop dance at events across
the US, on a Carnival Cruise ship, and in Denmark and Sweden.
