Will B. Bell
Theater Jazz
Biography:
Will B. Bell is a Los Angeles based professional dancer. He has performed alongside Derek Hough, Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. He has a strong technical background in ballet, contemporary, modern and jazz. He is a faculty teacher at Millenium Dance Complex, Edge Performing Arts Center, Debbie Reynolds and Movement Lifestyle. He received his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Towson University and has trained at the Ailey School in NYC and Line Ballet in San Francisco. Will’s jazz classes are high energy and technical. His style of teaching challenges dancers and also allows them to bring themselves into the movement. Catch Will’s master class at CDC and see why all the LA dancers flock to train with him weekly.
Class Description:
Will's class begins with elements from the McGovern Method combined with Horton Technique. Progressing through the warmup includes a series of isolations, deep stretches, and a modified ballet center before doing a series of jazz exercises that focus heavily on foundation, correct placement, weight changes, and style. Phrase work will infuse different styles with a focus on jazz technique. Will fosters a sense of freedom in class that allows dancers to push their artistic and technical boundaries. Character shoes/heels are encouraged but not required.
