    Jazz/Theater

    Biography:

Ali Koinoglou is an award-winning choreographer based out of NYC. Her professional choreography debut was at the Symphony Space theater as a student in the Broadway Dance Center's Professional Semester, and since then has taken off. Ali’s most notable choreography credits include MTV’s 50th Birthday Celebration for Madonna, TLC’s the ‘Long Island Medium,’ for Victoria Caputo’s bridal shower & ABC’s Good Morning America. Outside of Ali’s TV credits, Ali has an extensive choreography roster of various performances such as the Young Choreographers Festival, Sybarite Dance Productions, the Broadway Dance Center Professional’s Semester, Peridance Youth Arts Showcase, DUMBO Dance Festival, Brooklyn Dance Festival, The New York Jazz Festival, HATCH: the series, Dixon Place Pop-Up Artist Spotlight, Dance Astoria, MishMash 201, Jazz Choreography Enterprise (JCE), White Wave Dance Festival, Unique Movers, KoDaFe Dance Festival, “TRANSLATE” JChen Project, Harlem Dance Festival, & many more. As an associate choreographer, Ali’s credits include the Brooklynettes, Nike, Clarin’s, Colgate, & Tag Hueler, along with other smaller industrial events such as HOSPITAL FM. Ali’s choreography has been recognized by the Pulse on Tour, Radix, Dance Mogul Magazine, & Dance Magazine.

In addition to choreography, Ali has a vast background in arts administration. She worked in the Broadway Dance Center’s Educational Department for several years under director Bonnie Erickson. Following this, Ali was media manager & personal assistant to five- time Emmy award-winning Mia Michaels. Ali’s administration skills, combined with her love for creating & educating dancers led her to found her own company, Koin & Co Dancers. The company was originally created as a platform for Ali’s professional works but has since blossomed to include a junior division, to best refine the next generation of working dancers. With Ali’s unmatched network of teachers, choreographers & agents greatly contributing to the program, the dancers receive an exclusive edge or training & knowledge needed to prepare for a successful, long, career in the professional industry.

Presently, Ali runs Koin & Co’s training program full time, she is a guest instructor at famed NYC dance studio Peridance Center & is teaching classes/setting work all over the United States. Ali’s most fervent lifelong goal is to educate dancers around the world to reach their full potential as talented dancers & all-around kind humans!
