    About dawsondancesf

Founded in 2007, dawsondancesf is a contemporary dance company directed by Bay Area dance artist and educator Gregory Dawson. Rooted in Dawson's classical training, his contemporary dance career, and his larger inquiries about the human experience, dawsondancesf explores the boundaries of movement, seeking to constantly challenge the limits of the classical and contemporary dance mediums. In its seven years of existence, dawsondancesf has established a strong presence in the San Francisco Bay Area dance community, often taking to collaborative projects with fellow dance companies, musical groups, and like-minded visual and performing artists. In addition to its regular season of performances in San Francisco, the company makes regular tours to Valencia, CA, New York, San Diego, and Denver, CO.
