Bio
Professional ballet dancer, Raeman Kilfoil, is performing, teaching and coaching. Raeman began his training in Long Island, New York, and then at the School of American Ballet with Stanley Williams, Jock Soto, and Damien Woetzel. He then went on to study with Francois Perron, Patricia McBride and Edward Villella, in New York City, and with Violette Verdy and Goping Wang, at Indiana University Bloomington, in Bloomington, IN.Since then, Raeman has enjoyed a busy performing career, first as a soloist with North Carolina Dance Theater, in Charlotte, NC, then as a principal with Festival Ballet Providence, in Providence, RI, and most recently with New Jersey Ballet. Career highlights and favorite roles include The Prince in Swan Lake, Cavalier in The Nutcracker, Step Sister in Cinderella and many others.
A New York City native, Raeman is thrilled to be back performing and teaching in his hometown. He is currently performing with an eclectic group of companies, including the Connecticut Ballet, where he has performed for two seasons, Sarah Berges Dance, and Thomas Ortiz Dance. Raeman is part of faculty at the Peridance Capezio Center and the French Academie of Ballet, both in New York City. Raeman brings to his teaching a pure physicality and joy of movement, that coupled with precise technique and musical execution, brings all students closer to a ballet ideal, no matter their level.
