FAQ
1) Do you offer discounted rates for groups?
Yes! For groups of 10 or more students taking the same class, Peridance can offer a discounted rate of $15 per person for an open class. Please check the Open Class Schedule to view our class offerings.
2) Do we need to register in advance to receive a group discount?
Yes, but this can be on the same day you take the class. Please arrive at least 20 minutes in advance of your class to complete the registration process.
3) Must everyone in the group take the same class to be eligible for the group rate?
Yes, all students in your group of 10 or more need to take the same class.
4) Do you offer multiple-class packages for groups?
We offer discounted class cards for individuals who would like to pay for multiple classes in advance at a lower rate. The discount received through class cards is the same for both individuals and groups. Class cards are available in 5, 10, or 20 class card packages. You can get detailed information on our Class Rates page.
5) Are there classes that are more suitable for groups than others?
Peridance’s Open Classes are taught to groups of individuals who come into the studio to enjoy class, so it will be just fine for a visiting group to join in with the every-day students. Please take note that all classes are labeled with a specific ability level from introductory through advanced. To ensure the enjoyment of everyone in your group, we suggest that you choose a class that is at a proficiency level appropriate for the abilities of those in your group.
6) Do you offer private classes for groups?
Yes! We offer private classes for groups in the style and ability level of your choice based on our studio and instructor availability. This allows us to tailor the class to your group’s specific needs. Please contact groups coordinator Samantha Ringstaff at groups@peridance.com or 212-505-0886 for more information and to arrange a private lesson.
7) What should we wear to class?
Peridance does not have a dress code. In general, what you wear to class should be loose or stretchy enough so that you are comfortable and have freedom to move, but tight enough so that your instructor can see the lines of your body and no material gets in your way. Appropriate attire for most styles includes leotards, tights, leggings, or yoga outfits.
Several techniques also require specific footwear. For example, ballet requires soft ballet slippers, jazz requires jazz shoes or dance sneakers, modern is barefoot, etc. If you have questions about what is appropriate for a particular style, please feel free to ask!
8) What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, Visa, Discover, and Mastercard.
9) Do you offer special discounts for groups from non-profit organizations?
To ensure fair payment of our teachers, Peridance is not able to extend the discount beyond the general group discount.
10) If we cannot stay for the whole class can it be prorated?
To ensure fair payment of our teachers, Peridance is not able to prorate classes. |
