Shay Bares received his early training at The School of Ballet Tyler under Kym Lanier. Through workshops,intensives, and conventions, he was exposed to diverse movement at an early age. In his youth, he was a member of Ballet Tyler, a local non-profit youth company, to which he returned for two seasons as Artistic Director. In 2008, Shay joined the Fellowship program at the Alvin Ailey School. Shay has danced with various modern, contemporary, ballet, and aerial companies including Kim Robards Dance, Peridance Ensemble, Steven Petronio Company, Basaran Dance Works, NY2 Dance, and Grounded Aerial. Shay has taught at workshops and conventions across America, and has won overall awards at regional and national competitions. |

The Prince/Nutcracker is played by Kyle Coffman

Kyle Coffman has danced locally and around the world with the Joffrey Ensemble, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, Buglisi Dance Theatre, and New York Theatre Ballet. He played "A-rab" in the Broadway revival of West Side Story, and was seen most recently in Disney's Newsies! at the Papermill Playhouse. Mr. Coffman can also be seen in the upcoming film Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You, alongside such actors as Marcia Gay Harden and Lucy Liu. |

Clara's Mother/Princess is played by Nikki Holck

Nikki was born in Honolulu, Hawaii where she received her initial dance training. She continued her studies on scholarship at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Nikki graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School, where she also completed the Post Secondary Program. Upon graduation, Nikki joined the National Ballet of Canada under the direction of Karen Kain. Nikki has had the opportunity to perform a wide range of classical and contemporary choreography, including works by Igal Perry, William Forsythe, Jiri Killian, James Kudelka, and Korhan Basaran. |

Lydia is 10 years old. She is a fifth grader at P.S. 40. She has been studying ballet at Peridance since she was 2 years old. She studied with fabulous Ms. Naoko till she joined Core Ballet program last year. She is currently in the Core 3 program. Her dream is to master ballet and become a Prima Ballerina, dancing on the world's greatest stages. |
