BIOGRAPHY
Kameron N. Saunders (St. Louis, MO) began his dance training at the Center of Creative Arts, COCA, where he studied ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, and choreography as a part of their Pre-Professional Program. Kameron is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. He has worked with renowned artists such as Alonzo King, Alicia Graf Mack, Antonio & Kirven Douthit-Boyd, Sally Bliss, Christine O’Neal, Kirk Peterson, Michael Uthoff, Kate Skarpetowska, Frank Chaves, Ron K. Brown, Matthew Rushing, and Judith Jamison. Kameron has choreographed for many universities and companies and has presented several of his works at festivals including PUSHfest in San Francisco, APAP in New York City and the Spring to Dance Festival in St. Louis. In fall of 2017 Kameron was one of four selected choreographers to create world premieres as a part of New Dance Partners in Kansas City creating a work for Owen/Cox Dance Group. He has also choreographed for Tony award-winning actor Ken Page for his original play for dance, Sublime Intimacy. Most recently Kameron was one of eight internationally selected choreographers for the Ann & Weston Hicks Choreography Fellowship at Jacob’s Pillow in itsinaugural year under the direction of Dianne McIntyre and RisaSteinberg.
