BIOGRAPHY
Jennifer Florentino, (Paterson, NJ) received her BFA in Dance from Point Park University.
Jennifer artistic career has granted her the opportunity to perform across the country. Currently is
on Broadway for Buena Vista Social and is a company member of Aszure Barton & Artists and
Crystal Pite’s Kidd Pivot. Past Dance Companies include Deeply Rooted Dance Theater.
TV/Film: Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, Smile 2, Kiss of a Spider Woman, Up Here,
Modern Love, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Isn't It Romantic, Kennedy Center Honors (Gloria
Estefan), SNL. Theater: Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl, Life & Trust, Illinoise
The Musical, Only Gold, Once Upon A One More Time, Moulin Rouge The Musical, Evita and
On Your Feet (1st National).
Upon graduating she had the privilege to perform and receive an honorable mention at The John
F. Kennedy Center for a duet she co choreographed called “Till The End.” Jennifer received her
first choreographic commission for Ballet Hispanico Dos where she premiered “Entre El
Tiempo.” And created a senior solo for University of Missouri Kansas City called “Tummo.”
She was a part of the Broadway choreographic developments of Moulin Rouge The Musical,
Justin Peck’s Illinoise The Musical and Once Upon A One More Time. She was also a
contributing choreographer and theater divisor for an immersive theater show called, Life and
Trust. And recently was an assistant choreographer and performer for Jesus Christ Superstar at
the Hollywood Bowl starring Cynthia Erivo. She is delighted to be part of Peridance faculty.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Where artistry meets humanity. In this class, we will play with improvisational tasks, acting techniques, partnering, and phrase work. We will break the class dynamic and focus on community building while crafting and deepening our artistry. We intend to enhance our human expression through storytelling while using movement as our foundation.
