Audition Process and Deadlines

The Summer Intensive accepts students by audition ONLY. All students are required to audition in person. Students must pre-register for one of the auditions listed in our Audition Tour below. All applications must be submitted one week prior to the audition date.

If you live outside of the Tri-State area or abroad and are unable to attend any auditions on our Audition Tour, you may submit a video with your application. Please see the requirements for video auditions below.

Instructions to Apply:

1. Completed Application Form, including $25.00 Registration Fee.
2. Submit the following to summerintensive@peridance.com:

• Clear Headshot
• Photo in first arabesque, tendu a la seconde or passe
• Brief resume

Audition Tour Schedule

Each audition will consist of a 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minute ballet class followed by a contemporary combination.

2014-2015 Audition Tour dates coming soon.

Proper dance attire:

Women: Leotard, tights, ballet slippers, neat hair. (Pointe shoes may be worn for centre work but are not required.)
Men: Leotard or fItted T-shirt, tights, ballet slippers

Video Submission Requirements

All video auditions must be submitted by May 30th. You must submit the following Ballet material:

• 2 Full Barre Exercises (one side only)
• Center Adagio
• Grande Allegro
• Center Combination or a Classical Variation
• Men ONLY: Demonstrate Men's Technical Work with a Center Combination or a Classical Variation.
• Optional: Modern or contemporary combination
