    Biography:



    After Yuki lead her professional career as a dancer in musicals in Japan, she moved to NY and obtained her MA in Dance and Dance Education from NYU. She earned the Pilates Certification through Kane School of Core Integration. Since 2002 at Peridance, she has worked with numerous dancers from all over the world to teach Pilates in order to improve their conditions and their dance performances. She has also taught at Pilates studios in NYC, such as Kinected, Movements Afoot, Erika Bloom Pilates, and Gramercy Pilates. She is a founder and director of the contemporary dance company, Azul Dance Theatre in NY, and she is an adviser of BDC- Pilates in Tokyo.

    Class Description:



    Please bring a regular size Yoga or exercise mat to Yuki’s Pilates class. This class is focused on strengthening the core, improving alignment, and gaining awareness of the joints’ biomechanics. Through Yuki’s Pilates class, students will learn how the hip and shoulder joints function, and will improve their Pelvic and Spinal alignment.
