Charlotta Öfverholm
Contemporary
Biography:
Charlotta is the Artistic Director of Compagnie Jus de
la Vie
Since the start of Compagnie Jus de la Vie 1995, Öfverholm has
created over 20 productions, which has toured all over Europe,
North and South America and Africa.
Her work is physical dance theatre with depth, irony, brutality
and humor.

Öfverholm has worked as a dancer with numerous
choreographers and companies in America and all around Europe
among them DV 8 Physical Theatre/Lloyd Newson, Roberto
Galván/ Tanzcompagnie Giessen, Joseph Tmim /Toláda in Berlin,
Ramon Oller/ Metros in Barcelona, Robert Poole/ Ballet Linz, Cie
Corinne Lanselle/Paris, Kodet in Prague, Bill T. Jones Arnie Zane
Company/NYC, Sean Curran /NYC, Complexions/ NYC, Dorte
Olesen and Richard Turpin at the Royal Dramatic Theatre and
Björn Elisson Kompani in Stockholm
She has had leading roles in productions like Hamlet in
Shakespeare’s Hamlet (Landestheatre Linz) and Alice in Alice in
Wonderland (Stadttheater Giessen).
Charlotta also creates commissioned works for companies like
Norrdans SWE, Landestheater Linz, VerTe Dance Prague and
Stadtheater Münster. She choreographes films and
documentaries for SVT/ Swedish Television. Among them
“Bortkopplad” and “Holiday” by Anna Duell.
Charlotta enjoys teaching and does so all over Europe and is on
faculty at Balettakademien in Stockholm as well as yearly at
Studio Harmonic in Paris.
