    Destini Rogers

    Destini Rogers

    Contemporary

    Biography:

Destini Rogers was born and raised in the heartland, where she studied dance at Classen School of Advanced Studies and The University of Central Oklahoma. She quickly made moves as a commercial dancer after becoming a top 8 finalist on the first season of So You Think You Can Dance. She’s worked for artists such as; Rihanna, Beyonce’, Kanye West, and Alicia Keys. Destini has choreographed for studios and companies all over the U.S. for over ten years but settled in New York to work with the world’s best dancers. Destini’s goal is to create a space where dancers come in open and leave feeling like a movement superhero.

    Class Description:

Destini’s class is a well-curated blend of exploring individualized movement within detailed choreography. The class is guided by modern, hip hop, African, improv, and body conditioning principles that challenge dancers to shift their understanding of musicality, performance, and technique in any given moment. The class begins with short combinations that warm up and condition the body, a breath-induced stretch, a groove practice, across-the-floor combinations, and a culmination of ideas wrapped into a movement framework. This multidimensional approach celebrates the dancer’s diverse capabilities while pushing students past unexplored limitations.
