    Richard Scandola

    Richard Scandola

    Yoga

    Biography:

Richard is a former professional dancer/performer, dance teacher, choreographer, currently dancing with various dance companies in NYC. While living in NYC for the past 6 years, he has been practicing different types and styles of yoga, such as Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga. His passion for yoga and teaching led him to get certified in 2017 at Loom Yoga Center in Bushwick, Brooklyn. His approach to yoga is based on organic and fluid movement, with an emphasis on postural alignment and injury prevention. Spirituality and his quest for esoteric knowledge has always informed his performing art and teaching – inspiring others to grow, and tending to their wellbeing. Helping restore the physical, mental and emotional balance has urged him to explore various wisdom traditions and holistic modalities, such as Qi-Gong, Tai-Chi, Reflexology, Authentic movement and Energy healing. Becoming a Reiki Practitioner II in 2013 at Mind Body Spirit in NYC has enabled him to practice his healing art and spread his knowledge.
