Maho Takeshita
Limón
Biography:
Maho Takeshita is a dancer, choreographer and educator from Osaka, Japan. She graduated from the Limon Professional Studies Program in 2013, where she performed works by Jose Limon and Alan Danielson. She has worked with artists such as Nathan Trice, Buglisi Dance Theatre, Kaoru Ikeda, Kyle Rostan, Yuko Ikeshita and Louisa Armstrong. She has taught youth at organizations such as the International Theater Festival of Okinawa and the Hiroshima Communication and Dance Conference. In 2017, she performed her own work at Carnegie Hall and founded a dance collective titled Little Yarn with her fellow dance partners. Little Yarn has performed at NY City Center, Triskelion Arts and Peridance Theater. Maho is currently a dancer for The Next Stage Project, metaphors&similiesDANCE and Chris Ferris & Dancers. Maho is a certified Pilates instructor with experience teaching at Peridance Center and 53rd Wellness.
