Hayden Frederick
Contemporary
Biography:
Hayden J. Frederick is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They grew up training intensely at the Dance Shoppe in Plymouth in all genres of dance.Hayden has been based out of New York City for the past five years and is an up and coming choreographer and performer, specializing in Contemporary and Contemporary Fusion.
Since moving to New York, Hayden has been studying at the prestigious, Broadway Dance Center in several of their professional programs, including the Intern Scholarship Program (now the Summer Professional Semester). Shortly after interning, Hayden had the privilege of working with Calen Kurka and Chris Hale in their contemporary company :Pushing Progress.
Hayden has performed in several choreographers festivals including Carnival, Sirens after dark, and Sybarite, as well as music videos, shows, and dancing for various artists around the city. They continue to travel, teach, and choreograph around the country. They are currently on faculty at Tribe Body. Their most recent work was selected as "Choreographer's pick" at The Pulse On Tour. Hayden is currently on faculty at Broadway Dance Center, teaching open classes and is also on faculty for their Children and Teen Program.
As a teacher, Hayden thrives off of the energy and passion of their students. Encouraging students to find their love of dance based on their own personal journey. Hayden's goal as a teacher is to inspire others to find their own voice in dance through movement.
