    Biography:



    Sean Roschman began his dance training in Chicago, and went on to earn a BFA from New York University. He founded is company Roschman Dance in 2008 and since has presented three original evening length works. His company has been commissioned by Cirque Du Soleil "onedrop.org", Lady Gaga's ARTRave New York City Fashion Week, The Maritime Museum of Norwalk, HEREArts, New York University, The New York Conservatory of the Dramatic Arts, and Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village's 'Summer On The Oval" Festival. Roschman Dance has had the pleasure of performing at 2012 Downtown Dance Festival, The Elan Awards, WaxWorks, The Rover Soho, PS122 many others.

    Recently he choreographed the Off Broadway shows, "God Hates This Show" (named Best of 2013 by TimeOut NY), "Little House On The Ferry” , “Pygmalion”, “Southern Baptist Sisses” and contributed choreography to the internationally touring burlesque shows "The Pretty Things Peepshow" and “A Burlesque Soriee”. Recently he co- created and choreographed "Daughter Of The Waves"; a new circus themed play with music which had its premiere at Theater For The New City in August of 2014 and will be revived for the New York Musical Theater Festival in the summer of 2015.

    Roschman Dance, a New York City dance company, is dedicated to performing original works of Artistic Director Sean Roschman. Founded in 2008, Roschman Dance quickly emerged as a unique dance experience that captures the imagination of audiences near and far with daring physicality, breathtaking imagery, and raw emotion. The company has been commissioned by Cirque du Soleil's Non Profit "OneDrop.org", Lady Gaga’s ArtRave Album Release Party, HEREarts, New York City Fashion Week, The Maritime Museum of Norwalk, The One Show Interactive Awards, The Stuyvesant/Peter Cooper Village Summer In The Oval Festival, New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and New York University. The company has had the honor of performing at 2012 Downtown Dance Festival, Triskelion Arts, PS122, The Brooklyn Music School, The Rover Soho, Space on White, CVS Flamyoban Theater, Green Space and many other local venues. In 2014 they premiered their latest creation; Territories at Theater 80 to sold out houses. In late June of 2015 they will premiere their latest creation “Crooked Creek” at the Jacqueline Onassis Theater. Maintaining a dedication to dance education; Roschman Dance has led master classes at New York University and The New York Conservatory For Dramatic Arts. They have also taught recreational dance classes to both adults and children through a unique partnership with the Stuyvesant Town community.
