    Raphael Thomas

    Raphael DW Thomas

    Commercial Hip Hop

    Biography:

Raphael Thomas, Jamaican native, came from the technical atmosphere of training. Starting at the Asbury Park Technical Academy of Dance, he then branched off to other schools such as; DTH, Ailey, Kirov, and The Rock School. The pursuit of it all came from watching Michael Jackson when younger and wanting to feel the passion felt through the experiences. Years after he found a new journey in the realm of hip hop and contemporary fusions after training with Rhapsody James in her Motivating Excellence Season 2 Program and later becoming assistant choreographer in her R.ED Company. Being part of this company and it's individualistic artists helped to spring forth a plethora of ideas that lead him to want to teach and grow even more. And soon after, Lauren Cox introduced him to the world of her own freedom and experiences called Humans Collective. Within Humans Collective his artistic creativity is pushed in many facets opening up and broadening his mind.
