Peridance Faculty and Student Showcases

The Faculty Showcase gives Peridance teachers the opportunity to share their choreography by setting it on their students, bringing in their professional company dancers, or by performing their work themselves. The Showcase has become a major highlight at the Peridance studios because of the exciting, diverse, and high-caliber choreography.

The Student Showcase is a great opportunity for Peridance’s innovative students to bring their work to a New York City venue on a manageable scale. Any artist who is a student at Peridance can submit his or her choreography for consideration. The Student Showcase is a highly-anticipated performance that highlights the creativity, humor, and cultural diversity of our students, and includes a wide range of dance and choreographic styles.

Apply to the Student Showcase:
As a Peridance student, you can take part in the Showcases as a dancer in a faculty piece or as a dancer or choreographer in the Student Showcase. To submit your work for consideration in the Student Showcase, please send a link to an online video of your work to info@peridance.com (Re: Student Showcase Submission). Everyone is welcome to submit work. Submission does not ensure acceptance.
Submissions for the August Showcase are accepted the previous JUNE.
Submissions for the February Showcase are accepted the previous DECEMBER.

Requirements for Student Showcase:
In order to facilitate emerging artists and expose their work to new audiences, participation in the Student Showcase is free. However, there are additional requirements to help us ensure a smooth run with a great audience. All choreographers are required to purchase and re-sell a certain number of tickets to the show, and all choreographers and a majority of their dancers must be available and in attendance at tech rehearsal.
