"Guerreros Lucumises" is one of the Patakin-based theatrical dance performances written, choreographed and directed by Danys "Lamora" Perez. Oyu Oro dancers and musicians harness their skills as interpreters to relay the message of the ancient culture of Orishas to the present society through Cuba's traditional art form: dance song and music derived from Africa. "Guerreros Lucumies" features the Orishas to present conflict, harmony, discordance, love, jealousy and reconciliation in an updated folkloric dance language, providing a clear understanding of this story for all audiences.
