Artists in Motion 2019 Alison Cook Beatty Dance & Guest Artists is less than two weeks away! Get your tickets NOW to join us on November 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and/or 10th at the Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance Capezio Center. In two different programs across four nights, dancers from around the world will join Alison Cook Beatty Dance to present reflections on universal aspects of humanity.
Our programs:
Alison Cook Beatty Dance is delighted to be presenting 11 guest artists over the course of four different programs over four nights. Each guest artist will be performing one night out of the four nights of our performance series. Be sure to purchase tickets to the program(s) of your liking, as each night is different!
Alison Cook Beatty Dance will be performing every night, alternating between Program A and Program B. Peridance Contemporary Dance Company and Mr. Igal Perry is the featured guest Company and they will be performing a piece choreographed by Igal Perry, performed by musician Stanislav Fridman and dancers of PCDC Katie Currier and Matteo Fiorani.
Program A for Alison Cook Beatty Dance will be performed on November 2nd and November 10th. In this program, Alison will premiere her second NEW WORK to an original score created by composer Stanislav Fridman and will perform this duet with Company member Fiona Oba; LIFELINE, which will also be showcased this coming weekend at The Dumbo Dance Festival; BEHIND THE CURVE, a piece mentored by Bessie Award Winning choreographer Doug Varone, and made possible by the support of Joan Bowman; and WHALE, a group piece with new costumes designed by Adrienne Perry.
Program B will be performed on November 3rd and November 9th. In this program, Artistic Director Alison Cook-Beatty will be choreographing a NEW WORK in collaboration with award-winning violinist Shem Guibbory, Artistic Director of Innovative Music Programs. Major support for this work has been generously provided by Deborah and Charles Adelman. Other Alison Cook Beatty Dance repertoire featured in Program B includes BANSHEE'S LAMENTATION, with live musicians Eunbi Kim, Kate Amrine, and Jessica Wang, as well as SEELE, a new work created in January 2019 recently performed at the American Dance Guild.
