NY Spring Season
Our NY Spring Season kicks off March 17th, 2018 at our Salvatore Capezio Theater. This sesason we have returning works from Artistic Director Igal Perry, and guest choreographers Adam Barruch and Norbert De La Cruz III.
Founded by Artistic Director Igal Perry, New York City's Peridance Contemporary Dance Company has been a powerhouse of energetic and evocative dance since 1984. Operating from its home at the renowned Peridance Capezio Center at Union Square, the Company presents an annual NY Season at the Salvatore Capezio Theater as well as guest performances in venues, such as the Joyce Theater and Lincoln Center. In the past 5 years alone, the Company's domestic and international tours has brought contemporary dance to over 45,000 audience members around the globe. As part of its outreach commitment, the Company offers its "Dance-Break" program devoted to providing an array of educational opportunities for children and youth, often in underserved communities and schools in the Tri-State area.

Located in the beautiful Union Square area in the heart of New York City, Peridance Capezio Center and its Salvatore Capezio Theater are the home of Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. The unique arrangement of the Company situated within a school creates a harmonious blend of professionals and students, bringing artists from all walks of life together into a lively micro-community, and inspiring young dancers to reach great heights in their art.
For over 30 years, Peridance has provided inspiration for the educator, enjoyment for the recreational dancer, development for the professional, and fertile ground for future Company dancers. Peridance Capezio Center offers over 250 weekly open adult classes taught by an exceptional faculty, multiple International Student Programs with students from over 30 countries, and a two-year Certificate Program designed for pre-professional dancers. It is also home to The School at Peridance with over 100 weekly classes for children ages 18 months to 18 years, and the Peridance Youth Ensemble, a non-profit performance and outreach troupe.
Peridance Contemporary Dance Company is committed to leadership and creative collaboration in both dance performance and dance education. The Company aspires to advance the performing arts by offering the public visionary choreography and strongly executed performances, nationally and internationally, and by fostering an intelligent appreciation of dance as an art form. The Company works to provide a creative and intellectually stimulating outlet for high-caliber dancers, choreographers, composers, musicians, and designers. Peridance Contemporary Dance Company is dedicated to providing an array of educational opportunities for pre-professional, aspiring students including those in at-risk communities and schools.
