    Biography:

    Jennifer Chin has danced for and been inspired by many choreographers throughout the U.S. and abroad including Alan Danielson, Arthur Aviles, Kristin Jackson and Incidents Physical Theater. Her own choreography has been shown at Dancenow Downtown-Joyce Soho, The Yard, The Limon Studio, South Street Seaport, Deli Dances, Gowanus Arts Exchange, Bronx Academy for Arts and Dance (BAAD) and Queens College. She received her MFA in Dance from NYU. She has been guest faculty at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Queens College and is currently on faculty at The Jose Limon Institute.

    This modern dance class teaches the principals of Limon technique -fall and recovery, sequential movement, rhythm, opposition- tools that can be used to gain movement efficiency in any other dance style. Emphasis is placed on using natural body weight, specificity of movement, relationship to music and awareness of focus.
