    Biography:

Youran is a dancer from San Diego, California who began her dance career in the styles of jazz, tap, and contemporary at 9 years old. However, under the mentorship of KJ Gonzales and Keone Madrid, she decided to train primarily as a hip hop/urban dancer in high school, joining award-winning junior teams, Syde FX and Ill Habits, and becoming the founder of her high school’s co-ed urban dance team. She moved to New York in 2014 to study at NYU, graduating with her bachelor’s in May 2018. During her time in New York, she has become a leader in the New York dance community. Youran has served as the youngest artistic director of the award-winning team, The Neighbors, is a member of Bo Park’s dance collective, Shinsa, and created her own exhibition team, YLDC. She is currently also teaching weekly urban dance classes at House of Movement and working as a children’s dance teacher and youth development instructor with Kids in the Game.
