    Biography:

    Currently a member of Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in New York City, Jon Bond has worked with such choreographers as Ohad Naharin, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Schector, Jacapo Godani, Stijn Celis, Jo Stromgren, Didy Veldman and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui among others. Recently you may have seen him perform with Cedar Lake on season 8, SYTYCD. After moving to New York In 2005, Jon studied and performed with the Dance Theatre of Harlem’s DTB Ensemble. As a member of the ensemble he’s had the prestigious honor of performing at the White House, New York’s City Hall, The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. as part of an international dance festival, “Protégés of Ballet” and with Aretha Franklin at the historical Apollo Theater.

    In January 2004 Jon spent eight weeks as a Winner Circle Finalist on Star Search on CBS. That same year, he served as an ambassador of dancer representing the United States at the annual Australian Dance Championship, where he won International First Place Soloist in the Battle of the Stars. His work as a Performer also include 2011’s ‘The Adjustment Bureau’, the WNBA Sparks’ Sparkids, Fiona Apple’s ‘Paperbag” music video, Featured Soloist at the Los Angeles’ Kodak Theatre and as a Guest Artist for the San Luis Obispo. As a choreographer, he was invited to perform his work at the Seventh Annual Dancer Under the Stars Choreography festival in Palm Desert, Ca where he won the Jean Ann Hirchl First Place Solo Award. He has also choreographer numerous award winning Regional and National competition pieces for dance studios and high schools throughout the nation.
