Lukasz Zeiba
Contemporary
Biography:
Lukasz Zieba, a native of Kraków, Poland, former artistic gymnast, graduated from L’Art de la Danse Cracow Dance Academy before moving to New York to study at The Ailey School on a full scholarship. He participated in Springboard Danse Montreal, Cedar Lake 360 Installation, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet Intensive and was the winner of the Best Solo Award at the Dance World Cup in Villach, Austria. He had a chance to perform with an icon Grace Jones for her show in Zurich, Switzerland. As a freelance artist he collaborated with Emery Lecrone Dance, The DASH Ensemble, Malcolm Low, Julia Gleich and Terra Firma Dance Theater. Lukasz Zieba joined Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, where he performed works by Cayetano Soto, Alejandro Cerrudo, Nicolo Fonte, Jorma Elo and Jiri Kylian. He currently dances with The Metropolitan Opera and Austin McCormick's Company XIV. On the creative side he choreographed on So You Think You Can Dance (Poland), as well as presented his works in various venues in New York.
