Vincent Yong
Body Conditioning
Biography:
Vincent is a Certified Movement Analyst (LIMS), Registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist (ISMETA), and certified life- coach. He is an award-wining educator, dance-maker and motivator with over 16 years of involvement in dance pedagogy, performance and fitness. Since 2000 he has danced internationally on platforms such as Holland Dance Festival, ITS Festival, and Tokyo Performing Arts Market. He has performed in pieces by Alberto Dal Saz, John Utan, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, Michael Schumacher among others. Vincent graduated from CODARTS and toured with Gato Bizar in 2007-2008. He recently choreographed a segment for the 8th ASEAN Paralympics Games held in Singapore (2015) and other mass display performances for National Day Parades (2003 & 2004). He had appeared and choreographer in dance films by award-winning director Sherman Ong. Vincent is a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (ABNLP), Cancer Exercise Specialist and Instructor with Moving For Life™ and BodyMind Dancing®. He is TRX Suspension Training Instructor and Zena Rommette Floor Barre teacher. He is currently a teaching assistant at LABAN/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in Brooklyn and offers movement therapy and coaching sessions to private clients in NYC.
Class Description:
A somatic movement class that is based on the concepts of the book "Flow - The Art of Creating AbunDance” written by Vincent himself. Flow Essentials work on the basics you need to get you to move with greater ease. Moving well gets you to experience your flow and in moving with integration and support, you expand your physical and mental range for creativity as well as discover the abilities you need to engage life and fulfill your pursuits.
