    Biography:

    Matthew Neff has experience that varies from theatre, film and concert dance. His theatrical performances in national tours include George M! (Archie/Dance Captain), The Music Man (Linus Dunlop), Oklahoma! (Jesse Chalmers/Dance Captain) and many regional theatre productions. He can be seen dancing in Sony Pictures/Revolution Films’ musical movie, Across The Universe, directed by Julie Taymor. You can also find him in Avril Lavigne’s music videos He Wasn’t and Clear Blue Tuesday, directed by Elizabeth Lucas. In the world of concert dance, he has performed works by Charlotte Griffin, Jose Limón, Mark Morris and Chet Walker. He had the opportunity to perform Anna Sokolow's signature piece, Rooms, at her memorial held at the Joyce Theater.

    Neff’s choreography has also been performed in various showcases and competitions including the prestigious finals for the Youth American Grand Prix (YAGP) in NYC. His choreography has also been seen in Puck'd: What Fools These Mortals Be, The Telluride AIDS Benefit, Oklahoma! at Summer Lyric Theatre in New Orleans, musical numbers for Pacific Encore's upcoming opera documentary for PBS, the music video Junk for Project Jenny Project Jan, both the reading and showcase of the new rock musical, Crazy Head Space, The Who’s Tommy directed by Gabriel Barre at Connecticut Repertory Theatre, live performances/debut music video for American Idol's Antonella Barba including an appearance on Fox 5’s Good Day NY, a flash mob number as promotion for Equinox gyms, and the music video for MVPleez’s single Worst Texter. Neff won Excellence in Choreography for his production of Petrouchka in the 2010 New York Musical Theatre Festival for which he conceived, directed, choreographed and built the costumes. Neff choreographed the successful benefit concert reading of Twilight: The Musical at New World Stages, and also Jack Heifner's new musical, Queen of the B's. He wrote the book/lyrics and directed a sold out concert at 54 Below of Party Monster The Musical. Matthew Neff holds a B.F.A. in Dance with a minor in Arts Management from Marymount Manhattan College.
