    Class Description

Vive strives to create a positive, nurturing learning environment, hoping to allow students to feel comfortable in the classroom in order to explore and challenge themselves. Class always follows a structure, a 30 minute choreographed warm up focusing on jazz and ballet technique to get students properly aware of their body. We focus on various objectives including alignment, strengthening, mobility, isolation, extension, musicality. 15 minutes doing center and across the floor exercises, including jumps, leaps and turns. We spend the remainder of the class working on a combination. The class is titled Jazz Fusion, as the style of our choreography varies weekly, Theater Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Street Jazz, Jazz-Flow. Vive firmly believes dancers should be versatile, not only to get booked for work, but to explore their versatility and to constantly grow.
