Ludmila Raianova
Vaganova
Began her studies at the Academy School of Ballet in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where she was trained in the Vaganova method. After graduating with honors, she was invited to Ufa, Bashkir Republic State Theater of Opera and Ballet. There, she performed soloist and principal roles in the classical ballet repertoire. Later, she was invited to continue her artistic development at the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, Russia.
While at the Bolshoi Ballet, Ludmila continued to work with the best known ballet teachers and choreographers such as Assaf Messerer, Marina Semonova, Rimma Karelska, and more. There, she was offered to join the Ballet Of Russia State Theater in Moscow as a soloist, and later principal dancer, where she danced many major roles in classical and contemporary repertories. She also toured internationally and gave master classes. In Moscow, she began her teaching and coaching career and trained many young dancers.
Since moving to New York, she has continued to teach Ballet Technique, Pointe, and Variations. Currently, she is the ballet master at Les Ballet Trockadero, a guest teacher at Ballet Hispanico, Ballet Connecticut, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, and at the ballet schools all over the world. She maintains the repertory of classical and contemporary ballet companies and is sought out as a private coach to prepare dancers for international ballet competitions. Her extensive knowledge and keen sense of observation make Ludmila a gifted ballet teacher and coach.
In 2006, she coached Dusty Button for the Youth American Grand Prix Competition, where she was awarded the Bronze Medal. She is now a principal dancer at the Boston Ballet. A few of the dancers Ludmila has worked with include, Veronika Part of American Ballet Theatre, Josh Grant of Pacific Northwest Ballet, Sarah Hay of Dresden Semperoper Ballet and Jose Sebastian Zamora of the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, and many others.
