The Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance

Peridance Capezio Center is proud to open its professional state-of-the-art theater for performing artists of all kinds.

Peridance Capezio Center’s partnership with Capezio/Ballet Makers, Inc. has made possible the creation of this unique space, two large studios that convert to a 150-seat black box theater. Both organizations are dedicated to promoting the performing arts and developing the local and international cultural community.

The venue offers exciting performance opportunities for emerging & established artists, for informal showings of works in progress as well as for complete productions.

The Theater is located at Peridance Capezio Center, a historic landmark building in the easily accessible Union Square area.

	isadoraNOW PRESENTS: Eurydice Saturday, February 25th at 8:30pm Sunday, February 26th at 7:30pm isadoraNOW presents Eurydice, a compelling evening of new works and a modern staging of Isadora Duncan’s masterpiece Blue Danube. The evening culminates with the debut of Eurydice, a newpiece adapted from Isadora Duncan’s Orfeo and Eurydice. Inspired by two poems, one by Margaret Atwood and the other by isadoraNOW director, Elyssa Dru Rosenberg, Eurydice explores the essence of the myth in a modern context and from Eurydice’s vantage. Modernizing some of her choreography, isadoraNOW celebrates Isadora Duncan with a new interpretation of her work and takes a fresh and innovative approach to her technique and her stories. 	Lydia Johnson Dance Studio Showing Sunday, February 26th, 2:30pm Suggested Donation at the door: $10 The company performs "Falling Out," and previews a new work set to the music of Osvaldo Golijov! Dancers: Jessica Sand, Kerry Shea, Laura DoOrio, Lisa Iannacito, Sarah Pon, Kaitlin Accetta, and Guest Artist Max van der Sterre. Each day during the following weeklong Repertory Workshop, material from a different piece of the repertory will be presented and explored. March 11 will be an LJD audition.
