Karin Averty
Karin Averty became a member of the Paris Opera
Ballet
in 1979.
From 1984 to 2005 she interpreted principal roles of
the
classical repertory (Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty,
Bayadère,
Don Quixote, Coppelia, la Fille mal Gardée, Romeo and
Juliette, Etudes…) and new works from guest
choreographers invited to the Paris Opera Ballet
(William
Forsythe, Odile Duboc, John Neumeier…) but also
choreographies from Lifar, Balanchine, Robbins,
Tudor,
MacMillan, Graham, Taylor, Tharp, Kudelka …)
In 1987 she was invited to be a Principal Dancer with
the
San Francisco Ballet during a leave of absence from
the
Paris Opera Ballet.

Toni D'Trocchio
Antonetta DiTrocchio has been teaching pre-ballet,
tap and
jazz/hip-hop classes for 6 years. Along with a degree
in
early childhood development she trained in college at
the
Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance,
trained in
ballet under Stephen Pier, and toured as soloist with
RDNY.
She takes a creative fun approach to teaching while
instilling
strong technique and musicality. |

Kim Elliott
Kim is a New York City native whose first love has
always
been Hip Hop dance. From teaching, choreographing
and
performing the genre, Kim is always challenging
herself to
bridge the gap between the streets and the stage for
Hip
Hop dance. She has taught in various private sectors
and
is currently a NYS K-12 certified dance teacher with an
M.A. in Dance Education from NYU, where she received
the
outstanding dance education award and currently
teaches
Hip Hop dance. Kim has touched many lives all over
NYC
and stretched her passions to Uganda, when she
conducted Hip Hop workshops for Ugandan students
and
refugees. |

Danielle Esposito
Danielle Esposito graduated with a BA in Human
Development from
Boston College and with a Master's in Social Work from
Fordham University. Danielle has studied under Diego
Funes, Debbie
Hahn, Sondra Forsyth, and Jermaine Browne and is
part of DeFunes
dance company. She has taught creative movement,
introduction to
ballet and tap, and jazz on LI for years and is thrilled
to be teaching
at Peridance. |

Joi Favor
Ms. Favor has trained with distinguished companies such
as Dance Theater of Harlem, Joffrey Ballet, and Alvin Ailey
American Dance Theater. Her company experience
includes Movement for the Urban Village, Young Jean Lee
Theater Company, Ken Robertson's Workshop, as well as
Michael Thomas Motion Theatre Lab and Sekou McMiller's
performance group. She has had the privilege of working
as the principle choreographer and dance instructor at
The Dalton School, Sacred Heart and Williamsburg
Movement and Arts Center. |

Stephanie Godino
Stephanie Godino was born and raised in New York
City.
She had her early training in ballet with Margaret
Craske
and studied with Valentina Pereyslavec of American
Ballet
Theater and at the Joffrey Ballet School. Stephanie has
danced with Kansas City Ballet; New York Theater
Ballet;
Joffrey 2 Dancers; “Lotte Goslar’s Pantomime Circus”;
The
Metropolitan Opera Ballet and most recently New York
City
Opera. Ballet. Stephanie has directed and
choreographed
opera productions for the Bronx Opera; State
Repertory of
New Jersey; the DiCapo Opera and Juneau Dance
Unlimited
(Alaska). Ms. Godino holds a BA in theater and dance
from
SUNY Empire State College. |

Shelley K. Grantham
Shelley has been The School at Peridance Coordinator
(formerly PeriChild Program) and PeriChild
Ensemble Director since 1999. When she is not in the
office you can
find her in the studio teaching Tap and Jazz. Shelley
believes she is
the person she is today because of her strong family
and very
supportive dance teachers. She cherishes every
moment
she is able to give back to the dance community and
arts education. |

Kelly Hayes
Ms. Hayes has seven years of teaching experience
working with students from age 3 through
professional levels. She is currently on faculty at
Peridance Center, Alvin Ailey American Dance
Center, and the Stable in New York and STEPS
Academy in Stamford, Connecticut. Ms. Hayes travels
regularly to Chicago and Atlanta as a master teacher in
jazz and modern dance.
Her ballet classes are disciplined in a
very structured yet fun way. She encourages young
dancers to find their love of dance through their own
motivation and hard work. |

Lauren Jaeger
Lauren teaches in the
Young Movers and Young Ballet programs. Lauren brings
a calm and
centered energy to class while instilling her true love of
dance in her
students. |

Colleen Megley
Colleen Megley, the Assistant School Coordinator and
teacher
within the Young Movers Program, graduated summa
cum
laude with a BA in Biology and Dance from Connecticut
College. While at Connecticut College she studied
ballet and
post-modern dance under the direction of David
Dorfman.
An ABT National Training Curriculum Primary through
Level 5
certified teacher, she is currently pursuing her Masters
in
Dance Education and Ballet Pedagogy at New York
University
in partnership with American Ballet Theatre. |

Megan Minturn
Megan Minturn loves sharing her passion for
movement.
Megan has worked with the Charles Ahovissi's African
Culture Connection performing and teaching West
African
dance, the ARTery teaching Dancing Classrooms
ballroom
dance to 5th graders, and the Little Red School House
summer program. Megan studied dance in Senegal,
NY,
Omaha, Colorado, and most recently, Cuba. |

Naoko Moriyama Robbins
Naoko Moriyama-Robbins was born in Japan where she
studied ballet, modern, jazz and traditional Japanese dance.
Ms. Moriyama-Robbins has been an integral part of The
School at Peridance for the past 20 years. Ms. Moriyama-
Robbins teaches Ballet at all levels and has taught in various
locations throughout the city including Ballet Tech, Harkness
Center at the 92nd Y and
Central Park studio in Scarsdale, NY. |

Becky Pearl
Becky Pearl graduated magna cum laude with a BA in
dance from Connecticut College. Since graduating, she
has been teaching modern, ballet, and jazz to children of
all ages as well as performing with various
choreographers in New York. Becky has been teaching
within The School at Peridance since 2003.

Gabriella Quiles
Gabriela began her training with BAILA Society under the
guidance of world-renowned directors Ahtoy WonPat-Borja,
Daniel Enskat, and Joseph Rivera. With all of the accumulated
experience Gabriela worked her way up to the Repertory
Company, and began traveling and performing as part of
BASo. Gabriela is now working towards her degree in Fashion
Marketing at Berkeley College, while teaching children’s
dance classes on the weekends. |

Karin Rendelman
Karin's infectious energy and her passion for
dance
was
seasoned while she mentored under Broadway tap
dancer,
Jimmy Tate. She has been teaching for over eleven
years and
during this time, was honored to become the Director
of the
Dance Department at the nationally renowned Weiss
School.

Svea Schneider
Svea always challenges her students to push themselves
creatively while
offering an amazingly fun and energetic class. |

Nancy Smith
Nancy specializes in teaching both children and adults
who seek to not only improve technique but to gain a
sense of artistry and appreciation for dance. Her
competencies include teaching creative dance,
modern, tap, jazz and composition. She holds a BA in
dance education as well as an MA from New York
University’s Steinhardt School of Education. She is a
recent DEL graduate and certified Dance Education
Labatory instructor and has
instructed classes at Peridance for over five years. |

Kristin Sudeikis
Kristin’s credits include choreographer and
dancer
for the Emmy award winning NBC hit 30 Rock, as well as
NIKE, Under Armour, Good Morning America, The Today
Show, Microsoft, Oprah and for events at Self Magazine.
Her
emphasis on creating pure and intense movement can
strike
an emotional chord with those she works with. |

Steffanie White
Steffanie began teaching dance when she was twelve
and has
continued to teach dance either in the private studio
or
public school system since. She completed her BA in
1993 at
UCLA and after college continued teaching in Compton
then
Los Angeles until relocating to NYC in 2000. Steffanie
received an MA in Dance Education from NYU in 2004
while
teaching dance for the Department of Education and
working
as a teaching artist. |

Kim Whittam
Kim is an established and recognized teacher and
choreographer. She
brings a centered calmness to her class that allows each
student to
focus on proper alignment and technique. Kim teaches
within our teen
and excelled Ballet programs. |

Marlena Wolfe
Upon graduating from MMC
with a BFA in Dance, Ms. Wolfe became a member of
Robert
Battle's company Battleworks and for three years
performed Battle's works across the States, including a
notable solo Ella that Battle created specially on Wolfe
in
2007. Marlena has assisted Mr. Battle in the creation
of
many works and staged such works on colleges (MMC,
NYU, Purchase College), conservatories (The Juilliard
School), and companies nationally and internationally
(River North Dance Chicago and Introdans,
consecutively).
Currently, Ms. Wolfe dances for Mimi Garrard and
Caitlin
Trainor, choreographs her own work (most recently at
Earl
Mosley's Institute for the Arts) and is the Certificate
Program Coordinator as well as the Summer Intensive
Coordinator at Peridance Capezio Center. |

Ahtoy WonPat-Borja
Ahtoy is the Artistic Director of BAILA Society and
currently teaching Salsa
in the adult and children's programs at Peridance.

Raegan Wood
Raegan B. Wood grew up in Berkeley, California where
she
trained in modern dance with her parents David and
Marnie Wood, former members of the Martha Graham
Dance Company. She was a principal dancer with the
Paul
Taylor Dance Company from 1982-1989. She has also
performed with Dave Parsons, Chris Gillis, and with
her
sister’s company, Ellis Wood Dance. She holds a B.F.A
in
Dance from Montclair State University and an Ed. M. in
Dance from Temple University. For the past twenty-
five
years, Ms. Wood has been teaching dance in the tri-
state
area and nationally in private studios, K-12 public and
private schools, preparatory and community centers as
well as at numerous colleges and universities
including
Barnard and Juilliard. She is currently, and has been
for
the past fifteen years, on faculty in the dance
department
at Rutgers University. Ms Wood is also a curriculum
designer/writer for successfully implemented K-5
dance
programs in New Jersey. |
