How to Audition
Students must be between the ages of 17-25 and have a High School diploma or equivalent on the date they wish to start the Program. The Certificate Program accepts students by audition ONLY. You may choose one of the following ways to audition:
- Attend one of Peridance's public auditions.
- Arrange to take an Open Class at Peridance as an audition by e-mailing certificateprogram@peridance.com.
- Send a DVD by mail to Peridance Capezio Center

Or Video Link (YouTube and Vimeo only) by e-mail to certificateprogram@peridance.com. Include a 3 to 5 minute solo of any style/choreography you choose, demonstrating technical ability, quality of movement, and musicality.
For all auditions, including video submissions, the following is required:
- Completed Registration Form
- $25 Registration Fee
- Academic and dance resumes
- Headshot
- Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a professional in the field of dance
- A short description (up to 1 page, single spaced) about who you are and what you hope to achieve in your training and dance career
- Include any additional dance certificates, awards, etc. as a subsection in your resume
Please note that you will not be able to complete your registration and/or audition without submitting these documents. All necessary documents must be submitted via e-mail or mail and must be in clear English.
International Students

Audition Tour Schedule
Each audition will consist of a ballet class followed by a contemporary combination.

Scholarship Audition
Our Certificate Program Scholarship Audition is held every year in June at Peridance Capezio Center in NYC. Students interested in joining the Program and receiving Scholarship should attend this audition. However, any current, incoming, and prospective student may audition. Students are evaluated on technical skill, movement, and performance quality, as well as on merit and financial need. Peridance Capezio Center reserves the right to grant or deny scholarships at its sole discretion.
The next Certificate Program Scholarship Audition will be held on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 1:00-4:00PM. Both the Ballet/Contemporary and Commercial Tracks audition together. The audition consists of a one-hour Ballet class followed by contemporary and hip hop combinations.
